Next Club Meeting

The meeting will be Tuesday, February 9 at 7 pm. Location is the Hilltown Pub in Hatfield, PA. Come early to socialize and eat (food available for purchase).

Diving in Catalina, CA - One of our members will be presenting on weekend diving on Catalina Island. Catalina is unique diving hot spot, located outside LA. If you have never been there, come hear the insider tips of how to make the most of a dive trip to Catalina! A little island history and solo trip planning will also be included.

We will also have a round-table discussion on Diver First Aid Kits - what do you have when you dive locally, versus what do you take on different trips.

And don't forget the rafflefor a $25 IVS gift card.

Where have Buxmont members been diving?

November 21-22 - Members Donna, John and Mike joined Indian Valley Scuba and Dive NY for a Turkey Fry at Dutch Springs. The weather was awesome, the food was plentiful and the water was great.

Early November - While the club was meeting, Donna was diving the kelp forests off Catalina Island in Southern California.

Late October - Tricia and Mike joined the IVS crew for a trip to Key Largo for a great weekend of reefs wrecks and underwater pumpkin carving.

Late October - Robin and Gary spent a great week on Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras.

Despite the weather, there was a great turnout for the 1st Annual Dive In Festival sponsored by Indian Valley Scuba and benefitting IAHD. Buxmont Dive Club members were visible everywhere volunteering their time. We were in the Discover Scuba pool, assisting in the shop, manning the BDC table, helping with setting up and just hanging out! At least one member was very busy at the Silent Auction and took home a whole lot of new dive gear. And of course the big news is that two of our members were raffle winners! Donna R won a one week all inclusive vacation aboard the Aqua Cat luxury liveaboard in the Bahamas and Robin S. won a five day, four night dive trip for two to Dive Tech at Cobalt Coast, in Grand Cayman. Thanks to everyone who turned out and mark your calendars for next year!
